The Unplugged nights in town are creating quite a bit of
interest amongst local talent and international Stars, Strabane Unplugged has
now been running for 3 years and has grown in popularity each month. With local talent performing
all different styles the night is always to short.
Masterminded by a few local musicians this can only go from
strength to strength. Some of the artists to play in these sessions are the
finest around with the likes of Sean Mc Carron and his classic Sax playing,
Percy Robinson playing guitar and classic blues slide, Henry Mc Cullough
Who has played with all the greats from Paul Mc Cartney to Pink Floyd and a list
to long to give the man credit for his talent.
The Cosmic Cowboys even reformed to play at these great
sessions with talent like this Strabane needs a outlet for it!
Lots of up and new coming artists have had there slot to share
there talent with others, from a new comer on his first night playing to a well
seasoned player, everyone gets the same warm welcome from the music loving
crowd.
Joe Clark, Ian Mc Gowan & Brian Hasson set this all up to raise funds for
charities, but I don't think they realised how big it would become
